About WellMama and the Speakers
WellMama Maternal Mental Health & Support Services, Inc. www.wellmama.org specializes in serving the emotional health needs of women during pregnancy and postpartum, as well, as other reproductive health related events and concerns, such as infertility, perinatal loss and adoption. WellMama also provides workshops and trainings to providers who work with pregnant and postpartum women and their families. WellMama client services include free Pregnancy/ Postpartum Support Groups in Eugene and Corvallis, Oregon; free Phone/ Email Support to pregnant/ postpartum mothers in the Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon; and Counseling/ Psychotherapy in Eugene and Corvallis with regards to reproductive health related events and concerns: pregnancy, postpartum, perinatal loss, infertility and adoption.
Csilla Andor, MSW, LCSW, is Executive Director of WellMama, Inc. She is an Oregon state coordinator for Postpartum Support International (PSI), and is the co-chair of the Lane County Perinatal Mood Disorders Consortium. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has worked extensively as a medical and psychiatric social worker and has had psychotherapy practices in California and in Eugene and Corvallis, OR. Csilla has regularly provided workshops on maternal mental health in multiple settings over the last five years.
Amy-Rose White, MSW, CSWA, CHt, is Executive Director of Programs and a therapist at WellMama, Inc. She is an Oregon state coordinator for Postpartum Support International (PSI), and is a member of the Lane County Perinatal Mood Disorders Consortium. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) and is a Certified Hypnotherapist (CHt). She has worked in the field of maternal and early childhood mental health and education for over twelve years, and has a psychotherapy and hypnotherapy practice in Eugene, OR. Amy-Rose speaks regularly on the topic of maternal mental health to a variety of Lane County agencies and sits on multiple county committees dedicated to improving health outcomes in women, children and families.
Postpartum Support International (PSI)
www.postpartum.net PSI was founded by Jane Honikman in 1987, and is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. PSI has volunteer coordinators in every one of the United States and in 26 countries. PSI disseminates information and resources through its volunteer coordinators, its website and its annual international conference. The goal of PSI is to provide current information, resources, education, and to advocate for further research and legislation to support maternal mental health. The mission of PSI is to promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. It is the vision of PSI that every woman and family worldwide will have access to information, social support, and informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. PSI promotes this vision through advocacy and collaboration, and by educating and training the professional community and the public.
